[EN]In this study, the current temperature regime of Mexican soils estimated with data from 1970 to 2000 and the impact of climate change for the RCPs 4.5 and 8.5 W/m2 were analyzed for the short (2015-2039) and mediumterm(2045-2069) time scenarios and with the GFDL, HADGEMand MPI models. The colder soil temperature regimes with mean annual soil temperature <8°C (Gelic, Cryic and Frigid) represent only 0.04%, while the regime with temperatures ≥8ºC and <15°C (Mesic and Isomesic) represent 6.47%. 47% of the country surface has an annual average temperature ≥15°C and <22°C (Thermic and Isothermic) and 45% have an annual average temperature (Hyperthermic and Isohyperthermic). The changes in the surface of the soil temperature regimes estimated with the GFDL model shows the smallest variations compared to the current conditions, with a slight increase in the surface of the average annual temperature regimes in the medium-term scenario and greater radiative forcing. In the HADGEM model, the largest changes are estimated with considerable increases in the surface of the regimes with an annual mean temperature ≥22°C with a greater impact on the RCP of 8.5 in the medium-term scenario. In the MPI model, an intermediate variation is estimated between the other two models, also with a greater increase in the surface of the regimes with high temperatures in the RCP with higher radiative forcing and in the medium-term scenario.
