Los restos de Augusto Armicis

Abstract

[ES]Dentro de la campaña de recuperación de la memoria científica, histórica, patrimonial, social y personal del primer director del Instituto Central Meteorológico (actual Agencia Estatal de Meteorología-AEMET) y primer meteorólogo oficial del estado español,el gaditano D. Augusto Teodoro Arcimis Werle, este artículo pretende ser una reivindicación con la que lograr la restauración de su figura y el rescate de sus restos mortales, los cuales están a punto de desaparecer en la nada de una fosa común. De igual manera que en el año 2024 se llevó a cabo una campaña con la que se logró recuperar los restos humanos del ilustre, imprescindible, venerado y casi desconocido D. Eduardo Benot Rodríguez (al tiempo que se llevó a cabo una serie de actos y homenajes para dar a conocer su relevancia histórica y de su obra), desde esta tribuna se solicita a las instituciones competentes (Ayuntamiento de Cádiz, la empresa gestora del Cementerio Mancomunado Bahía de Cádiz S.A.-CEMABASA y Agencia Estatal de Meteorología-AEMET) hacerse cargo de la recuperación de los restos mortales y dar divulgación a la figura del que es el padre de la meteorología institucional española.

[EN]Within the campaign to recover the scientific, historical, patrimonial, social and personal memory of the first director of the Central Meteorological Institute (current State Meteorological Agency-AEMET) and the first official meteorologist of the Spanishstate, Mr. Augusto Teodoro Arcimis Werle from Cádiz, this article aims to be a demand with which to achieve the restoration of his figure and the rescue of his mortal remains, which are about to disappear into the nothingness of a mass grave. In the same way that in 2024 a campaign was carried out with which it was possible to recover the human remains of the illustrious, essential, venerated and almost unknown Mr. Eduardo Benot Rodríguez (at the same time that a series of events and tributes were carried out to publicize his historical relevance and his work), from this tribune a request is made to the competent institutions (Cádiz City Council, the management company of the Bahía de Cádiz Joint Cemetery S.A.-CEMABASA and State Meteorological Agency-AEMET)take charge of the recovery of the mortal remains and disseminate the figure of the father of Spanish institutional meteorology.
