La variabilidad temporal y espacial de las precipitaciones de granizo: análisis de las bases de datos de 24 años en las Terres de Ponent (Lleida)

Abstract

n the territory called “Terres de Ponent” of Lleida, the ADV Terres de Ponent in collaboration with the Servei Meteorologic de Catalunya and the University of León, have been developing hail precipitation detection campaigns since 2000 with the help of almost two hundred hail meters. The database of these 24 years is composed of more than 160,000 data identified in 290 days in hail. With this we have been able to analyze the temporal variability of hail precipitation in this area, verifying the changes that occur between some years and others, as well as the enormous spatial variability between some areas and others. In the same way we have studied the size spectra of hail and hail.
