| Resumen : | Low-level wind shear (winsdshear) is one of the classic hazards for aviation. Low-level wind shear affecting aviation, according to ICAO, is especially important if it occurs in the lower layer, 500m. When there is neither a wind profiler nor a network of anemometers for wind shear detection, as is the case in most aerodromes, to determine what is happening in the lower layers can be difficult.. In this article we are going to analyze the correlation between wind shear reports in the METAR (METAR is a periodic report) on wind conditions at Cuatro Vientos airfields) and strong wind gusts. |
