Abstract: | Mean maximum and minimum monthly temperatures have been collected for all stations with at least 10 years of observations during the period 1951-2012. 2856 series were compiled in total, which were homogenized with the R package “Climatol”. Trends of the homogenized series were computed by linear regression with time, whose greater positive values were obtained in summer and spring, but with differing patterns in the main hydrological basins. Maximum temperature trends were negative in the Canary Islands only. Geographical distribution of trends and dependence with altitude have been studied, the higher trends corresponding to the eastern third of the Iberian peninsula and Tajo river basin. |
