El plan del estado de Veracruz (México) ante el cambio climático. Parte I: descripción general

Abstract

[ES]Con financiamiento del Gobierno Británico y apoyo del Instituto Nacional de Ecología, de abril 2006 a marzo 2008 se integrará un documento que tiene por objeto que el estado de Veracruz (México) cuente con un plan de acción ante efectos de variabilidad y cambio climático. Este plan será transferido a tomadores de decisiones del gobierno estatal y difundido entre productores, empresarios, industriales y población en general. En virtud de lo anterior, se integró un grupo multidisciplinario compuesto por alrededor de 70 investigadores que se encargan de ejecutar un estudio que contempla una revisión del estado del arte sobre variabilidad y cambio climático en Veracruz. En esta comunicación se discutirán los enfoques del estudio, los resultados más relevantes y las recomendaciones de medidas de mitigación y adaptación contenidas en el Plan.

[EN]From April 2006 to March 2008, and with the financial support of both the British government and the National Institute of Ecology (Mexico), a document containing an Action Plan facing climate change and variability effects for the state of Veracruz (Mexico) will be created. Hence, the project integrated a group of 70 multidisciplinary researchers. They will be in charge of carrying out: a state-of-the-art revision on variability and climate change in the state of Veracruz. In this announcement, the most significant results and study approaches will be discussed, along with the recommendations intended for mitigation and adaptation that are included in the Action Plan.
