Evolución de las precipitaciones en la cuenca sur mediterránea española

Abstract

[ES]El presente trabajo trata de responder a dos de las más inquietantes cuestiones que actualmente se plantean sobre la evolución climática en el sur mediterráneo español. Estas interrogantes son: ¿Acaso están disminuyendo las precipitaciones en el sur mediterráneo español? y, asimismo, ¿Está esa evolución pluviométrica ligada a ciclos o se advierten tendencias nítidas en su devenir? La respuesta a ambas cuestiones se fundamenta en el análisis de las series de 9 de los principales observatorios históricos localizados en la región mediterránea española de Andalucía, con datos homogeneizados y fiables de los últimos 50 años.

[EN]The concern provoked by a possible scarcity of water resources and the difficulty this would pose for the Spanish southern Mediterranean region requires that a rigorous temporal analysis of precipitations be carried out with the aim of verifying whether a progressive reduction in rainfall is already taking place. The objectives of this study are: i) to verify of a decrease in precipitations in southern Spain, and ii) to assess whether this decrease is related to temporal cycles or well-defined tendencies. The response to both questions is based on a series analysis of nine of the principal historical observatories located in the Spanish Mediterranean area of Andalusia, with homogenised realiable data from the 1960. The results obtained show the existence of great contrasts in the study region.
