Análisis y efectos de la DANA de septiembre de 2023 en el centro peninsular

Abstract

The DANA that affected the Iberian Peninsula at the beginning of September 2023 affected large areas of the peninsula. Especially important were the precipitations in the mouth of the Ebro, Cadiz area and peninsular center. This type of high intensity phenomena is characteristic of Mediterranean areas in autumn and can also affect other coastal areas. However, it is not so usual, for the central area of the peninsula, to be affected by this type of phenomenon with so much impact. In this article we will try to explain a little better the meteorological situation and the effects that occurred in the most affected inland areas.
